New York, NY: Lynyrd Skynyrd will release Live From Freedom Hall on June 22 as both a CD/DVD set and as a stand-alone DVD. Live From Freedom Hall not only captures the band in its most natural state – on stage- but is also one of the last concerts to be recorded with longtime members Billy Powell and Ean Evans, both of whom passed away last year. The release is a tribute to and a celebration of Skynyrd.

The track listing for Live From Freedom Hall is as follows:

“Travelin’ Man”
“What's Your Name?”
“That Smell”
“Simple Man”
“Down South Jukin’”
“The Needle and the Spoon”
“Ballad Of Curtis Loew”
“Gimme Back My Bullets”
“Tuesday’s Gone”
“Red White and Blue”
“Gimme Three Steps”
“Call Me The Breeze”
“Sweet Home Alabama”
“Free Bird”

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s latest, Gods & Guns, was released via Roadrunner/Loud & Proud, debuting on the Billboard Top 20 at #18, representing their highest debut since 1977. Throughout the past year, the band has been enjoying continued success and increased visibility, appearing on The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien, The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, FOX News Channel’s Huckabee, Hannity, Fox & Friends, PBS Soundstage and more.

The band was recently inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Their classic and beloved American rock anthem “Sweet Home Alabama” has surpassed the two million mark in downloaded ringtones. With a catalog of over 60 albums and sales beyond 30 million, Lynyrd Skynyrd remains a major cultural icon that appeals to all generations.

look i don't know how i am going to do this, but i am trying to help some people out, it will mean alot, so if anyone who runs this site or someone who could get in contact with the band somehow please read the following.
The band is going to be in Va. Beach on the 20th....this family who lost a 16 year old boy due toa car wreck are huge fans and will be at the show...i will be with them cuz im a huge fan as well...anyhow the boys sister is my olo lady and we thaught it would be cool if the band could dedicate the song simple man to the memory of joey fonseca...over 2000 people in the virginia beach community showed up to his funeral so there will be quite a few there who have heard of the boy...he was a good kid and a fan as well, there could even be a message about drinking and driving, underage drinking, or wearing seatbelts...a seatbelt would've saved him.

Is there any unreleased archival music featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd members Bob Burns, Ed King, Steve Gaines and others that will be released as new music? I would love to hear it if it exist. Especially any studio or live recordings that could be released as stand alone or dubbed with the current Skynyrd band filling in where needed. Rock On.

Don't take this the wrong way, but we've already had several live DVD or CD releases with these tracks. I would rather have them put out a new live album with performances of most of their newer songs included.
I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining, I'm just saying that we've already got several live versions of these songs, so this live album doesn't sound like much of a new treat.

I belive the tour dates shown in the article above are incorrect. at least I hope so as I am going to the Darien Lake show on July 3.

Please amend.
