One of my favorite Skynyrd songs at the moment, and I can't help but think of Billy Powell everytime I hear it. Getting to know "BP" as I called him, when he'd come shoppin' at Publix with his family, was one of the coolest things I'll always remember and take with me for as long as I live. I never shook so bad before I first shook his hand at the young age of 16 back in 1998. Talking to him when "Red, White & Blue" became a #1 hit single, and seeing the joy in his eyes with it being at the top is a fond memory, and telling him "that song gives me chills" and him replying with "then we did our job" makes me smile now.

Rest in Peace Billy Powell, I'll be expecting to hear you playing those keys when my time comes to meet my maker.
