I have been reading blogs, and can't believe the vitriol and bile being spewed from "fans" about Skynyrd's appearances on Fox News shows. If you sit and think about it, why do we love these guys? Why have they continued for going on 40 years, and are undeniably one of the greatest music groups of all time? Because they have always been true to themselves; they keep it real. That's why I own every album, on vinyl, cassette, and CD. They have always been the genuine article, even if it wasn't popular. So even if "Simple Man" hadn't worked wonders with my 9 year old autistic son, to the point that with the music therapy he is no longer in special education programs; and "Lucky Man" didn't help me deal some extreme in my life, and help me hold on; and as a veteran "Red, White, and Blue" didn't mean so much to me and my buddies, those alive and those who didn't make it home; even if all of these things weren't true, I would still love these guys for simply being real. So shut up and enjoy the music. To ALL the members of the band: thank you from me and my family. You have done more for us than you can imagine. Keep it real and keep on rocking. There are those of us out here who dig it.
