Ok, so Skynyrd is my favorite band, which is saying something because i'm a 15 year old girl, and my dad bought my family tickets to the Toledo, OH concert on October 15th. I was soo excited, i had all the days counted down and everything. Yesterday, my dad came home and said that he heard on the radio that the concert was cancelled! I was in shock and sad and angry.
Today, he came home and said that it was cancelled because they had only sold 1600 tickets out of 8000. I was very angry at this, because it was the band that cancelled. It wasn't the arena, it was the band.
I just wanted to say, to the band, that its not about the money, or how many tickets you sell, its about the music. Its about the way you make the fans feel when you sing Free Bird, or Sweet Home Alabama, or even Curtis Loew. I'm very disappointed, this was supposed to be my first concert, seeing my favorite band. I just wanted to say to the band, i'm really dissapointed, i thought you knew it was about the music, not the money.
