Now don't ya all laugh at me cuz this is the God's Honest Truth !!!! ...
We had 6 kids in my family, only my father (a warehouse worker) supporting us, my mom stayed home and did the domestic type things ... We Grew up in Cambridge Mass in the 60's No school buses for us, just public transportation in the city, BUT there was no money for us to take the public transportation SOOOO we DID walk to school in the morning "which was a hair over one mile from our house" and at the end of the day walked home the same blasted distance... I do remember the heat, the snow, the rain and the nice days as well .... no cars for us kids either, but I did do it .... Maybe that's why I'm the Whiskey Rock a Roller I am today ;-)
