Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Gods & Guns Tour kicked off yesterday!
The Miami Herald recently interviewed Johnny Van Zant to talk about this summer's tour with .38 Special and Bret Michaels. During the interview, Johnny was asked if he felt the presence of the former Skynyrd members who have passed. In response he said, "I think if you were up there, and you didn't feel that, there'd be something wrong with you. There's a lot of spirit to Lynyrd Skynyrd -- that's what keeps this band going."

Live Nation announced “No Service Fee June”
Live Nation announced “No Service Fee June” with the elimination of service fees for the entire month of June.
“A fan in every seat is our mission this summer,” said Michael Rapino, President and CEO of Live Nation. “We know that’s tough in this economy, so it’s our job to find a way to make concerts more affordable. Starting June 1, Live Nation will offer live music fans the experience of seeing their favorite bands with no service fees on tickets at LiveNation.com.”

Live From Freedom Hall not only captures the band in its most natural state – on stage- but is also one of the last concerts to be recorded with longtime members Billy Powell and Ean Evans, both of whom passed away last year. The release is a tribute to and a celebration of Skynyrd.

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s latest, Gods & Guns, was released via Roadrunner/Loud & Proud, debuting on the Billboard Top 20 at #18, representing their highest debut since 1977. A BENEFIT CONCERT FOR FLOOD RECOVERY”
AT NASHVILLE’S BRIDGESTONE ARENA ON JUNE 22ND
Tickets Go On Sale To General Public Friday, May 14th
On Tuesday, June 22nd, the Music City community will unite to assist victims of the floods that ravaged Nashville and Middle Tennessee earlier this month. “NASHVILLE RISING: A Benefit Concert for Flood Recovery,” will take place at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. It will feature performances by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who are spearheading the event, and numerous other artists. See below for a list of performers and special guests who have been confirmed to date. This superstar line-up will continue to grow and many additions will be announced as the event draws closer.
"The damage that we've seen to people's homes and the effect that the flooding has had on their lives is unimaginable. But we've seen the spirit of our community first hand, as volunteers, church groups and our local business leaders rally to help,” said Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. “We all need to continue to support those in need in anyway that we can, and for that reason we could not be more appreciative to all of the artists, the companies and the people behind the scenes, who collectively, will make June 22nd a truly special night."
Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 14th, at 10:00 A.M. CST at www.ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices will range from $25 to $75. Ticket auctions on select seats and VIP packages will also be available. Visit www.nashvillerising.org for more details.
