Who's touring with Skynyrd in 2010?

Posts: 3 Member #: 65,907 Joined: 12/22/2009	I'm going to see Skynyrd at the Cylde Auditorium (Glasgow) next year, and wanna know: Who's touring with them? Would be unbelieveable if it was 38 Special, Allman Brothers or Blackfoot. Another awesome southern rock band who make lots of sense. It would be nice if the opening band was something similar. Went to see AC/DC (who are hard rock all the way), and they're opening acts were both indy bands, which made no sense at all. And same when I went to see Deep Purple (again another hard rock band), and they had a punk band as the opener. Wanna know if its worth getting to the Auditorium for the start of the show, or not.

Location: medway, ma Posts: 833 Member #: 23,167 Joined: 09/27/2009	I saw Black Stone Cherry open for Skynyrd over the summer and I thought they were one of the better openning acts in 09. The others were Rev Theory-ok, Joan Jett-boring, and some guy in NYC who was way out of place and forgetful. So who knows who they have lined up in 2010. But really we're not there to see the openning act right!!! It's just a bonus if it is someone the caliber of Foghat, Molly Hatchet, etc... I'm not dead, at least not yet, Still Alone, Still Alive, STILL UNBROKEN....

Would love it if it were Foghat, Doobie Brothers, or Iron Maiden. But I don't see it, to be honest. We'll all have to wait and see if someone lets slip about the opening act in the next month.

Another town is drawing near, oh baby i wish you were here, only way I can see you Darling is in my dreams, It's a Highway Song singing on and on, on and on......

One thing great about Maiden, is that they have 3 lead Guitarists! hey if LS toured with 3 Doors Down, and Bob Richie, Touring with Iron maiden would not be a surprise. I agree Maiden are cool and that would be a great show, but co-headline? No way would that happen, Maiden are selling out venues 3x bigger than anything Skynyrd has done in years, decades perhaps. If it ever happened it would have to be in a Festival (most likely in Europe). And Skynyrd would be 3rd billing or less, depending on who else was there. But hey, there's nothing wrong with dreaming about your faves touring together:) And for the record, Maiden are from England. I don't know if that's what you meant by "the North" or not.
