=Maryland4Dixie said:17 hours from Maryland to Tampa last summer. Ok, so I was heading there for a family vacation anyway. Don't I get some points? Got freaking polluted and then walked over and gambled at the Indian casino across the way (quarter slots, I'm cheap). Looked like a bunch of red necks swarmed the casino at once and headed over to the cheeseburger and freedom fries line. Funny as shit!

Holy cats meow you be a trucking on some miles there too skynyrd and family vacation how can it get any better than that?

Took a spur of the moment trip to Elizabeth City, NC in fall '08, took about 1.5 hours. It must of been about 110 degrees in the shade! Did not cool off much after dark- felt kind of sorry for the guys up on stage under those hot lights. Funny thing is, it took me 3 hours to go to a local show last summer just because of road work and traffic. I would gladly drive as far as neccessary rather than go a year without seeing a show. Plan on driving to Florida next January to get on the "Simple Man".

9 hours last Fall from North Carolina to Maryland. I stayed with friends so that was only 6 1/2 hours to their house and another 2 1/2 hours the next day to the show. We actually, drove to the show and back the same night. It was a long trip back after the show, but totally worth it.

@workdaze: It did seem like it went faster, but it was a nasty drive. It poured down rain the entire drive home. I was fine, but I wasn't the one doing the driving. Actually, in my condition, we wouldn't have made it out of the parking lot!!!
