Westbury Show ( Sorry Got You Gerbil)

Loco, I had to reply here. The darn gerbil wouldnt let me post on the other thread!

This past weekend we traveled east, and saw "our" favorite band for what was my 52nd or 53rd time. I have to say that the band was in fine form. Every one was rockin' out. The venue was small and acoustically fantastic.
Our girls were on stage and looked and sounded grand. Friendly as usual.
The band added back a few favorites that we hadn’t heard the last time (in 2011) such as Saturday Night Special, and fortunately they added my all time fav, Tuesdays Gone which the crowd adored. Everyone was on their feet and singing along. Boxcar opened the song and played thru out.
Peter was animated, high fiving everyone each time the stage rotated, and he has come into his own. I love his enthusiasm, and he played excellent.
Johnny was Johnny which as you all know is a first-class thing. He dedicated Simple Man to our Armed Forces, as well as the victims of 9/11. This was emotional as the venue was in NY. He sounded terrific, and he too shook hands with everyone. Johnny has charisma!
Mr. Medlocke. Aw, the showman. Love him. Always have. He just has what it takes to put the icing on my Skynyrd Cake. Thanks for the pick!! Rickey is so much fun to watch, and besides sounding good, just makes us smile.
Gary- Rocked and rolled. He has the sincere desire to play every song with his heart and soul perfectly. His dedication is only seconded by his passion. (Sorry RR no photos!)
Sparky , over the last six years has grown into a perfect fit. He is a tremendous asset and has integrated perfectly. He looks like he has shared the stage for years. I personally love his smile, because he appears like he is having a blast.
Michael hit the drums running with an amazing balance of attack and depth. He rocked the house. I had some “splainin’ to do at airport security because of the drum stick but they let me bring it on thru.
And finally Johnny Colt. He’s a well polished bass man. He seemed to be having some fun on stage while getting to know his new band. I remember him from the Black Crowes. I really like that he was able to lead on some vocals. That was impressive. I hope he will stick around.

Proud to be in the Skynyrd Nation!
