Support band in the UK is Red White & Blues. A British classic rock band featuring former members of Skin andJagged Edge. Check out their newie 'Shine' featuring the excellent single 'Stand Up For Rock'n'Roll'.

No problem LL. Enjoy Manchester. I'm off to Glasgow on Friday. It's a real pity Skynyrd feel they have to play ALL the 'hits' in their set these days,when there is so much strong material to chose from. Personally i'd love them to keep,say 'That Smell','SHA','Freebird',and then mix it up from tour to tour including more from the likes of 'God And Guns'. There are at least 4 off that album that i believe would go down great live,but alas the short set only allows for one 'newie'. Nevertheless i'll still be there front and centre whenever they come to the UK even if its the same set each time.

Hey EdKing76 and LL - do let us all know how the shows go!! I'll be seeing them in Montreal on 7/6 w/Hill_7 and C-Breeze and can't wait!! Do travel safely to the shows!

So....who else is going to Manchester gig? There is a party of about seven of us going. Really looking forwards to it. Not seen them since Simple Man Cruise last year......so rarin' to go.

Just a tip.....since the closure of The Church Inn, there is now just one pub near the venue, the tiny Apsley Cottage (sounds quaint, beleive me, it isn't, lol) which is directly behind the Apollo......it WILL be hammered.

Anyone wanting a beer or two (and who won't be?) would be far better off going to one of the city centre's numerous pubs and bars beforehand, as are we. It'll be about six/eight quid to the Apollo in a black cab from the centre.....

Plenty! Lol. We are planning to meet in one called Knott Bar, which is at the Castlefield end of Deansgate. It's a good place, with great food too....join us if you wish? More the merrier of the Skynyrd Nation!
