Ticket Prices

Why are the gosh dang ticket prices so high? My wife and I wanted to go to Seneca Allegany Casino 11/21 to see the band, but the seat prices start at $66, and go to $99. My wife and I both bust our asses so we can take in an event like this, but $66/ticket????

I've been following the band since 1975, my kids love the band, but I see no opportunity to share the band live until my boss gives me a big fat raise. Sorry to vent, but I havn't seen the band since the 87' reunion tour, and I'm dying to see the band live, especially since "Gods and Guns" came out.

It's the nature of the beast...

You also have to figure in the "other" charges. Venue charge, handling charge, etc...

By the time it all said and done, in some cases you're well over $100 bucks for those tickets....

One show I purchased the tickets online and you have the option of printing them at home. But they still charge you $2.50 for that option!!! Damn, I should be charging them for my ink!!! LOL....

Unfortunately sometimes the people who get the "good" seat aren't fans of the band they're going to see. It's more like an event and they want to be seen there...

I went to a Skynyrd show this year and had FRONT ROW seats. The strange part was these 4 guys ( in there 40's) sat during the whole show??? I asked how they scored the seats and they said there company has season tickets for the venue and gave them the tickets.
Then I had to "educate" them on who's left from the original line up, who's that guy, who's the other guy, etc...

Just wrong....

I'm not dead, at least not yet, Still Alone, Still Alive, STILL UNBROKEN....

Well, I had to PAY for second row seats (100/tx resale) in Bloomington and it was worth every penny of it! Would do it again too.

I dont know what the exchange rate is at present but tickets for uk gigs are currently £40.00 for Cardiff and about the same for the other gigs ,now that does not seem like a bad deal

i couldnt agree more........ ticket prices nowadays are outragous for concerts and sporting events. one of the biggest problems are the secondary ticket brokers that buy up all of the good seats and then sell them at astonomical prices. Bruce Springsteen actually has a great system. All of the floor seats are sold as general admission and the day of the show a line forms on a first come first serve basis. If your the first one in line you get a number and then are the first in the door and will get a front row seat. this guarentees that the true fans have an oportunity to get great seats at low costs and the ticket brokers can't guarentee anything so there can't mark up those tickets.

You got that right! I'm going to the Colts-Patriots game tonight and it's costing me $200.00 per ticket. I'm not a fan of either team as I'm From Cincinnati and a Bengals fan but my fiance and her two sisters are originally from Indiana and her sisters are in town from Wyoming and North Carolina respectively. Since I'm not a fan of either team I guess I will just wear a Skynyrd shirt, so if anyone here watches the game and see's a Skynyrd shirt, chances are I'm in it. Go Bengals!

I'm currently in Finland and want to take my boyfriend to a show in Tampere but I can't seem to find tickets at any reasonable price the lowest I've found is close to 170euros a ticket for General Admission. That being said it would cost almost $500 US to get two tickets for us to go. So spend the $66 or even the $99 it will be worth it.
