@Todd Snider:

Todd,
The jobs are a short time thing for the Olympics, it's what comes after they are gone..The debt..something we really don't need anymore of right now.

Montreal Canada held the Olympics in 1976, and paid off the debt in 2006, theres alot more to it. I don't think it would be as huge as we like to think it would be.

Dan,

That Ain’t My Skynyrd

"Ronnie Van Zant supported Jimmy Carter strongly in the 1976 race, and the band raised a lot of money for his campaign. To him, Carter was for the working man, and would restore trust and integrity to the government, as well as heal the nation after Vietnam."

Did you actually live when Carter was Prez? Maybe the band hoped for, how did you put it,,,, should have quoted,,, ummm, yes,,"restore trust and integrity to the Gov.? LOL,, I remember nothing but higher gas prices, inflation through the roof,the Iran Hostage Crisis, and I could go on, and on,,,, He was the worse Prez this country ever had. Though this one is taking over that #1 spot quickly,,

Ronnie would have wanted them to keep playing music,(my opinion only). Gary is still a great guitar player, and I can't see why he should have stopped, he couldn't have, even if he tried, he's a guitar player, and will be for life.

Geezzzz man, it was like breaking a very fragile vase after the crash, some of it could be repaired ,but never will all the pieces be there. I'm just thankful there is still something left, and that something I find very good....

Don´t get nervous..

From my side NO POLITICS, only Skynyrd here. And as a tolerant guy who lives in a free country you will certainly accept that opinions can be different w/o arguing or insulting.

I am not sure where we will end up after they finish getting the FC info into the new system but you can bet I will be pushing to have the board be for FC members only as was the deal with the last board. This is taking up WAY too much of my time watching for the hit and run posters who destroyed the old board that was open to everyone.

I thank everyone for not taking the bait on some of these posts.

Just be patient for a bit longer folks ;)
