Skynyrds pre crash music speaks for itself, some of the best songs ever.Alot of folks dont relize how amazing alot of the music is post 77. From the album 1991,last rebel,20,God and guns etc...they came out with outstanding songs.I listen more to the newer stuff than the older stuff right now.Dont get me wrong, the old songs are classics and I love em but if you get a chance please listen to the post 77 stuff, its really good.I wish the guys would play some more of the post 77 stuff in concert!!!

Born to Run and None of Us are Free IMMEDIATELY come to mind as well as a TON of others up to their latest release God and Guns. Seeing Rickey and Sparkey playing two guitars durin Skynyrd Nation and God and Guns is a sight mostly unseen today by other groups

Sure, play the "post 1977" tunes BUT do you honestly think they should of kept the Lynyrd Skynyrd name? It's like Brian May from Queen. Since Freddie Mercury died, Queen is a band no more. I feel the same about any band who looses it's main player. RingoStarr quit the Beatles during the White Album. Let It Be would NOT have been recorded by the Beatles if he had NOT re-joined to record Let It Be. Like Paul McCartney said, "...we were a band, like a square. You take one of the corners of the square away and it collapses...". This happens all the time with everything now. Like sports, you like a particular hockey team because of a few players who play great together UNTIL one of those players becomes a free agent and decides to play on another team for more CA$H. Nuthin' stays the same. The song DON'T remain the same. I wish it were the seventies and just stayed there.

Hey everybody has a right to their own opinion Treble Junkie and hear is mine. Lynyrd Skynyrd is a LEGACY. No reason to let the name die, if you let the name die before you know it you forgot about it. These 9 people currently in the band are doing their VERY BEST to represent Lynyrd Skynyrd and the music. One thing that I am very grateful for is that these people have the COURAGE and INTEGRITY to keep the music alive. Long Live Lynyrd Skynyrd the Name and the Music. Just my Opinion!!! Hooty Has Spoken

They can't. They really can not do it. They tried and it did not work. If you read their interviews the band members themselves have told how much it angered them to watch their audience turn around, turn their backs on the band and walk away from the stage to go buy a beer or take leak.

The audience has spoken very clearly to Gary's band that their job is to play the music of the original Skynyrd for those who pay to hear it and when Gary and his new T band try and play whatever new music they have created the paying fans turn their backs on the band and walk away and this is a fact brought out by band members themselves.

You may like the new music, but for the large part of the paying audience they only pay to hear the music of the original band to be played live on stage and this is what Gary's job is today. He can't sell anything else. He has tried and it has not worked.

If only they had released all of this new music under a different name then it might have worked but trying to confuse the buying public to make a choice between Lynyrd Skynyrd and the new material has not worked out for them in concerts and this is why you will not hear what you want because you are in the minority big time.

The only way you could get what you wanted from them is to book a private show with new music as a condition for the performance, but no one does that because the demand for the original band's music is just too overwhelmingly that powerful. Just saying...
