Skynyrd's in the House

I can't wait to hear those words ringing in my ear tomorrow night--June 17th--in Birmingham, AL!! It will be hot, humid & outdoors.......but who cares. Nothing wrong with a little sweat.....as long as the smell of B.O. and booze go well together and don't drowned out a particular aroma that is always adrift at an outdoor Skynyrd venue.
I'll let all of my brothers & sisters know about the show and I'll get lynskyn1981 to post some pics for me--he just knows that I need remedial help!!

Sweet Sara, You are going to have a blast. Think of me, wishing I was there, singing every word to every song right along with you!

I'm headed up to the show tonight. A Skynyrd show in Bama is pretty much as good as it gets.

I'll post the setlist when I get home. I know at least one song they'll be doing!

Just made it home from the show. I'll let Sara give a detailed review and I'll just post the setlist (I also have the setlists from both opening acts, but I'll post them later). 38 Special was great, Bret rocked the house, and the great Skynyrd was on target as usual. The venue was pretty much packed (only a few empty seats way up top in the corner). Next up for me is the August 13th Freedom concert in Atlanta.

June 17th / Birmingham, AL setlist:

Workin' For MCA
I Ain't The One
Skynyrd Nation
What's Your Name
Down South Jukin'
That Smell
Simple Man
Double Trouble
The Ballad Of Curtis Loew
God & Guns
Still Unbroken
Gimme Three Steps
Call Me The Breeze
Sweet Home Alabama

Encore:
Free Bird

ALA17, thank for the update.

That's awesome you're going to the Freedom Concert... You'll have to give us a review on that show as well...

Sara must be sleeping in.... LOL....

Ala-
Sounds like a great show. Lucky you - they played Curtis, an all time fav, which they never seem to play at the shows we attend!! Have fun at the Freedom show. Should be awesome. Details... ;-)
