Disappointingly Skynyrd management doesn't even have the courtesy to respond to a request for the band to tour Australia. A letter at least thanking me for my correspondence regarding an Australian tour might have been a courteous response, but again it was ignored. Great music but arrogant management disappoints. I inform them of the organisations with whom they should work with here in Australia eg Michael Coppel etc but they can't even get off their arse to say "sorry we are not interested" or "Gary can't be bothered" Dream Theater and Metallica come but not Skynyrd. |

lynyrd skynyrd is one of the few bands i know that will most certainly go beyond to keep thier fans happy. if they haven't got back to you maybe it's because they have mountains of mail to sort through.why don't you give it another try. it's really not cool to vent here after all they have been through. have a heart man and keep rockin' peace and light, gina

OK point taken. Apologies for sounding cranky. I'll be more positive and wait and just be a little more patient. Its just that none of us are getting any younger and 20 months (and 8 months) is a long time to wait for a response (for what I am sure is considered a small market.) I'm sure (I know) the band is busy and will come if and when they can. Until then ...Metallica and Michael Buble....and the new Skynyrd DVD!

The promoters should be contacting the band's booking agency about potential tour dates. Management's task are long and varied when it comes to their artists, the booking agents can offer a better idea of availability for any and all requests for dates. :) |

=mejla.jr said:Hallo, After the crap that Lamb of God's lead vocalist, Randy Blythe, went through - NO band should ever step foot inside of the Czech Republic. Absolute garbage. If you all don't know what happened... Death Metal band Lamb of God was performing a concert in the Czech Republic and a fan continually kept climbing on the stage and head banging and stage diving from the stage. At one point, he goes up to the lead vocalist and the lead vocalist and stage security toss him back into the crowd. However, he gets back up on the stage a 3rd time at which point, the security guard throws him back off the stage with him landing on his head. 11 days later he died. The fan was incredibly intoxicated at the time. So the Czech Republic gives no indication of any investigation to Lamb of God. When Lamb of God returned there this year, the lead singer, Randy Blythe was arrested on manslaughter charges. Video proof showed his innocence but the Czech courts heard none of it. Randy posted the bail that was needed, and the authorities there did not let him go. Instead, they re-assigned bail and made it higher. He paid that - but they still wouldn't let him go. He spent months there in prison for something he didn't do. I would NEVER as a band step foot inside that country - ever. Watch the video...you'll see... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQkpR4zdJb4 They say a diamond only whispers to us when we are alone...It's just forever's little trick
