@ls-rickeyfan: Sorry I am just now seeing your response to my posting (about a week ago). I pray that God will guide the doctors and nurses as you continue your treatment and you await a kidney transplant.
I want to tell you that 21 years ago my oldest brother was killed in a farming accident. (He was a HUGE Skynyrd fan.....and the reason that I became a FAN!!) 2 days before the accident, just out of the blue, he told my parents that if anything ever happened to him that he wanted his organs donated. After 2 brain surgries in 2 days, my parents had to make the gut-wrenching decision to turn his machines off--and they didn't hesitate to donate his organs.
I can't imagine what it is like to be waiting on an organ......but I do know what it is like to be a part of a family who chooses to pass on life to others who so desperately need it.
Stay strong..........
