Anyone have the scoop on The Randall Hall Band? I stumbled on his website today but there's not much there. Looks like I can purchase a cd for $8.00, but the site is so minimal, I'm not sure if this is still actively monitored. The samples songs sound really cool. Love to get a copy. Anyone in the 'know' on this one?

@Maryland4Dixie I have no idea about his current projects, but Randall Hall is one hell of a guitarist. After Allen died the band tried to screw Randall over (they were successful in driving him out of the band) and that didn't really sit well with a lot of people. I know a cool story about Randall and the boys from the 70's but I can only remember bits and pieces of it right now. and i know LS81 knows all about Randall Hall. I don't know why he disrespects him like that

I believe you but I was told that the band said Randall you can stay with the band if you take paycut (they offered something like 1/8th of what he was getting). He just thought that wasn't right so he decided to stand up for himself and sue for severence or something. It was settled outside of court. All of this I have been told and read in legal stuff and whatnot. I had never heard about him getting worse and stuff. Early 90's Skynyrd is what I am least knowledgable about.

thats pretty unfortunate cus Allen held him in really high regard. Sounds like he took advantage of the situation he was in and it bit him hard. I always thought Allen should have chosen Barry Lee Harwood to replace him anyways. Barry Lee can still play just like he did back in the day if not better.

Thanks for the comments Collins and 81. I really didn't know any history on Randall. Just interesting getting a little history.

@Maryland4Dixie: Yeah me too I have been trying to find out his tour dates and stuff but I haven't been successful. I wanted to see if he was gonna be comin to Charlotte. I love his playing and he is so good at many different instruments. I know that he was all signed up and ready to be Skynyrd's 3rd guitarist before Steve came aboard. I prefer Steve but Barry isn't far off from him.

@LynSkyn1981 that would be cool if you put that video on and the other stuff. I have just the 10-22-75 Frankfurt Germany show when he did the lil solo after Billy's piano solo in Freebird . It was similar to one Ed played one time when Billy was injured but i felt that Barry's was more melodic. And he also plays some awesome slide on T for Texas. I can't remember if he played on anything else in this show I'll have to revisit. I don't think he did.

@LynSkyn1981: That'd be pretty awesome to check out. I'll check your YT channel as well. Any RCB stuff that's ok to post as well? I surprised there's not more live video footage up there. RCB would automatically include Barry.

I don't know of any video of that concert all I have is the audio of it. LS81 may have a video of that concert though I don't know. The Black and White ones on YT are the Winterland shows and the Asbury Park show with the watermark.

@LynSkyn1981: I'll bet that's pretty amazing to watch those 2 shows. If you're able to put a little something up on your channel, please let us know. I'll bet Leon's not the only one who came running out of the woods letting out a Tarzan-like holler back in the day.... Tarzan don't have diddly on the mighty, mighty LS.
