Casino gigs aren't really for people that are into music. I haven't never seen them play more than an hour and a half so you got gyped out of a half hour and there should have been an opening band. The same setlist and same speel and the medley has got to go.I saw them in Aug after not going for two years it was alright but they have new music and don't even play that, oh that one tune .Don't know how in the eff they aren't burnt out on it?They are playing near me tomorrow in Atlantic City and i was gonna go cause im a live music freak but after reading this post and that other one ahh. Bruce Hornsby is playing in the same casino and it starts an hour later so could skip Skynyrd or try to get the gamblers to to give me their comps or for next to nothin and try to do a little of both. |

Casino shows are funny in that the casinos try to put great acts out there to draw you in ,but they don't want to away from the tables/slots for to long. Also I seen where they demand the bands play only to a certain volume level. |

I saw them twice in 4 days a week ago, first @ a casino gig on the 22nd with no opening act. I paid $53 w/svc chg and it was worth every penny especially since they played an ass kickin' T for Texas, worth the price of admission alone. The set ran about 90 min. Then on the 25th I saw them again, paying $100 @ a charity gig(tax write-off), but a shorter set, about an hour, but we got 2 opening acts plus Leon Russell, Little Feat, The Doobie Brothers w/Jim Messina sittin' in, then Skynyrd. To make a long story short, I'll take 'em anyway I can get 'em and hope the road goes on forever!!! Be thankful for what you've got....not what you don't. J Dawg |

I'm going to see them at a casino on the 15th and i know casino shows are short shows but i have seen them at all kinds of venues and i'll take any chance to see them at any price and I can guarantee you I will not be back here complaining after the show. I lost track a long time ago how many shows I have been to but I do know i have never left any of them disappointed I leave tired but feeling at least 10 years younger and I don't have a care in the world for how ever long the show lasts how can you really put a price on that? The only disappointment i have is i have tried to meet them for over 30 years and always get my hopes up that this show will be the time and i should not set myself up for that but i am a dreamer and it's right at the top of my bucket list so i can't give up! crossing my fingers that this time will be the time! |
