I am upset & sad about the exodus of so many core members of the NATION and I hope that all of my Brothers & Sisters will make a posting here to voice your support for SKYNYRD but to also voice your fustrations about how the Fan Club is being run.
(I know that most of you have done this in other threads, but this will hopefully be a place to tie it all together.)

Things that I want addressed:
--membership renewal process
--ability to post pictures/videos
--purchasing of concert tickets
--perks at concerts for being a preimum fan club member

I'm with you Sara (and everyone else). I love this band and appreciate everything they have given us but it seems as though there has become a disconnect between Skynyrd and their fans. I will not make any disparaging comments directed toward the band members but hopefully they will be made aware of our concerns. The irony is that we are only complaining because we do love them. It would be easy if we didn't give a shyt about them, we'd just move on.

If I have the opportunity to visit with any band members on the cruise, I will share our concerns.

automatic renewal-geesh-the only reason they didn't get me is because my card expired.
Hopefully, they'll show us that they care and nip it in the bud ! lol

I'm behind ya too Sara!! The OLD fan club and message boards were so much better, this one is hard to use, impossible at best to post photos on, and virtually worthless when it comes to buying tickets.

As a famous band once said.... "You Got That Right" Sara, we got problems....

If they don't want us then shut the site down... We can go to other social networks for FREE!!!! We can buy t-shirts on other web sites... And get tix's from the venue or ticket agents.... At least we don't have to take time out from work to get crappy seats.

My beef isn't about the $$, it's what you get or don't get for it...
-Presale tix's?? HUH!!!! For the New Year's Eve show I was on and got my ticket at 10am Sect. Right Row J!!!! WTF!!!! Now what really pissed me off was several days later when the tix's went on sale to the general public. They had seats for freakin' ROW J!!!! Some presale... Where is the benifit of being in the fan club??

Now in the "Exclusive" part of the fan club which no one goes to post unless it's a few people. There is a section dedicated to "Meet & Greet's".... So what's that about????

Pictures - why can't we do this anymore like the old site. A few have figured it out, but why can't we do this anymore??

Lyke all of you and the members who have left, I LOVE this band!!!!! I am very, very fortunate to be able to see them in multiple states in my area.... Also very fortunate to be going on my 3rd Simple Man Cruise this January with my other Nation Frynds, wickey & sara..... But I bust my AZZ off working for this cruise, but I'm happy as hell once I'm on it....

We need to hear from SOMEONE, that this sense of urgency doesn't fall on deaf ears...

That's a lot of old frynds that you have that used to post on the Skynyrd site. It's sad that so many have left and that others are leaving now.
Do you think that we will ever know who actually reads these boards? (band members??)

I forgot to add that I just got a "Skynyrd fix" tonight. I just watched the VH1 Behind the Music (Remastered) episode of Skynyrd. It was what I needed to put me in a "better place" with all of this going on in the Fan Club. I got to focus on all of the band members who have come and gone over the years and it made me realize that I AM going to renew my membership in the Fan Club. No matter what...........I'm going to remain a member & support the band. I DO NOT agree with how many areas of this site are being handled, BUT I will just hang on and hope that change will come.

Hate to compare BBS to LS , but at least Charlie Starr posts on there board .... set lists to upcoming shows and replys from time to time to posts. Although like I said I am not fan club member, but just a 30+ yr fan. Maybe a post or two for those of you that are paying members as a perk...... From what I have been reading there are many issues here that need to be resolved but this could be a start to the healing..... just a thought
