Technically Skynyrd is one entity...one band...one family, but some out there have classified Skynyrd as "old" skynyrd and "new" skynyrd. So for the sake of making sense in this post, we'll use their logic.

It wouldn't have to be in that specific order, but I'd love to see a double cd STUDIO wise of those songs :-D "I've seen a lot of people who thought they were cool...

I think this would be a good idea for most any of the Ronnie-era Skynyrd songs - Johnny-era Skynyrd has done a lot with new studio material, and live releases of songs from both eras, but not much with studio versions of the older stuff.

As much as I would like to hear Johnny sing all the songs (and I think he's right on par with Ronnie (obviously no one can touch Ronnie - not Lennon, not Morrison, etc...)) but I think just having ~25 songs on 2 cds would be great enough. "I've seen a lot of people who thought they were cool...

Cotten Mouth Country would be great as well. I think Jonnie could really pull it off. This would be one a lot of people hadn't heard before either. |

Ed King claims he wrote cottonmouth country and if the new band uses it Ed wants to get paid, but on Ed's forum he said "there would be trouble" meaning like as usual Ed would sic his lawyers all over Gary for more money. The new band was going to use the song until Ed made his threat and then Gary and company nixed the idea. |
