My Dad is now a Free Bird

On September 12, 2012, my dad was killed in a motorcycle accident. Ever since I could remember he had me listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd. I have been to four of Skynyrd's concerts in Florida. Three of them my dad took me to, the last one I went with my sister after my dad passed away. It was extremely hard being at the concert without my dad. Skynyrd was his favorite band, the only music that he listened to. Free Bird was his favorite song. My dad had two tattoos, one of which was an eagle holding a rebel flag, and said "Free Bird". I am seventeen years old and I got a tattoo in his honor. My tattoo is the best lyrics in the world, "I'm as free as a bird now and this bird you'll never change" with an eagle. I designed the tattoo myself and I am very proud of it. I wanted to post this and share my dad's story. He was a great man and God called him home early. But it's all good, because he is now free as a bird...and that will never change.

I'm sure your Dad is very proud of you. Just think about the music he gets to hear everynight. I bet Ronnie, Allen, Steve, Leon, Billy, Ean, Hughie and the girls welcome him in to the show everynight.
