Brad Pitt plays ronnie in the movie.

Ok, here's the deal, Brad Pitt can play Ronnie. In true romance, Brad pitt had long hair and sort of looked like him from a distance. Although, he played a burnout in that role. We all know Ronnie wasn't a pothead lol.

I think he would be great, he's a damn good actor and a big name. It would be interesting, get Brad to grow some long hair, wear the famous hat, put on just a little bit of weight and he could pull this off!

Ronnie deserves a big film of recognition, sort of like the Johhny Cash, walk the line. Ronnie's life and music was fascinating.

Johhny Cash got his big film, all I'm saying is , let's rally for Ronnie's. It can be done, we need more input. I think this would be a great hollywood script.

No disresepct to the band members but this movie would follow Ronnie from his youth to his death, similiar to walk the line.

I think we all know the answer. And in my opinion, Ronnie is a legend.

as for recognition, he has that. And Love and respect the world over...Would he like some big box office stars and a hollyweird script about his life?
I don't think so , but you'd have to ask his Family.

I Agree The Movie should be Ronnie's WALK THE LINE. Ronnie was a complex person with a incredible drive despite his fame he stayed humble.

The story is the formation of the band and the problems they dealt with along the way including being drunk and disorderly and finally drug addictions .
The movie can show how they beat their demons only to lose it all on Oct. 20 1977.
If done right this could be a academy award winning film. the Van Zant family has dealt with so much and yet they are as strong as iron.
The movie could be a glowing tribute not only to Ronnie Van Zant but the entire Van Zant family but also to the fans who kept Skynryrd alive during the dark years.

I agree Bluesman. The movie should show everything about his life. He is a legend and 30 + yrs. later, this new generation should see what pure raw talent is and was. My wife and I saw Skynyrd many times in concert here in the 'burgh and she took our daughter and nieces one year to see them. The girls had a great time, loved the music even though Ronnie wasn't there. This wouldn't be some weird Hollywood movie, it would be revering a wonderfully talented songwriter/singer who was a huge part of music history and an inspiration to all. I was blessed to have seen the original Skynyrd with RVZ back in '76 in the 'burgh. Yes, this movie would be an academy award winner!!!

No thanks to Brad Pitt. Ronnie is the single greatest lyricist and vocalist...a true visionary to ever live and ever grace this earth, and to have Brad Pitt playing him? ...just doesn't fit. People aren't the highest on Pitt anyway...

I would really love to see a movie around Skynyrd. I feel there are people who don't know the genius that was Skynyrd...the true wonder of such a brilliant man (Ronnie) and a band that means so much to so many people.

Jeff Bridges might be a good choice to play Artimus. Brian "HEAD" Welch could play Steve...

...Whomever it is would need to remember the sanctity of Skynyrd. A true band. A band that hits home in everyone's hearts...

Just keep Brad Pitt away.

I vote for Black Stone Cherry, Zakk Wylde (BIG Skynyrd fan), Kid Rock (BIG Skynyrd fan as well), Charlie Daniels (we all know his connection to the band), Merle Haggard, The Allman Brothers (with Warren Haynes), Seven Mary Three, Dixie Hustler (look up their song "So Long With Goodbyes")...
