@LynSkyn1981: I posted this here, because this board is about anything and everything skynyrd.And the possibility of a movie about LS, regardless of what money miser was announcing it. There is nothing wrong with alittle different subject matter for a change of pace. I surely wont apologize for the post & already stated that my intention wasn't to offend. With that being said, their are folks on both sides of the fence that support Gene & want to puke when they hear his name mentioned. I, personally, don't agree with him not acknowledging the current band- but then again, who am i? No hard feelings brother.

I really don't see why people get all bent out of shape over this. I don't know for sure, but don't you think the more exposure to those Justin Bieber-loving tweens out there to REAL music...the single-handedly GREATEST band in history - one LYNYRD SKYNYRD - would be a good thing?

Ah no. Leaving aside any issues with Gene, kids that listen to Justin Bieber are not going to go to see a Lynyrd Skynyrd movie. It would be of interest to Skynyrd fans but would not cause a ripple among the general public. |
