My son wore his Lynyrd Skynyrd tee shirt to school yesterday and was told by his English teacher to turn it inside out because she found it offenisve. It is the one with the bull head/horns and the Alabama Flag. I am outraged that with all that has gone on in South Hadley High School this year that they are focused on my son's tee shirt and not the real issues.

What is REALLY offensive is the pay some of the teachers are getting paid... There are some teachers who have the passion and earn there pay. But then there are the others who are just there for the check and counting down the days when they retire....

One school in Mass has now "renamed" Christmas Vacation to "Winter" vacation. WTF!!!!!! Because a few people found it "offensive" and made a phone call to the superintendent, they bow down to these idiots and remove the word Christmas from the vacation.... Gimmie a break....

There is a different issue here, no that aint my america and unless the school has a specific policy on the southern flag then your child is being discriminated against. If you bring this point i think a backdown will ensue ............rock on and wear the flag with pride

@prez. rusty: locally we had a news story where a small group of high school boys, yesterday, that non American so called holiday.......... where they wore red, white, and blue t-shirts, shoes, shorts, and were told to turn 'em inside out or take it off.................... bottom line is, the boys meant no disrespect, just showin' the America colors............... and they, the boys, were being discriminated against was the resolution!................... 1 of the boys was even wearin' a SKYNYRD T-SHIRT!

Enough with pleasing the "select" few that may be "offened" by a t-shirt, name of a holiday, a flag, etc.... There have been men and women who have and are fighting for our freedoms, but still we can not express our selves without "offending" someone.

Now today in Boston, the Boston city council have signed a petition to boycott products from AZ. They also have suggested not to visit AZ for travel... Because of what's going on there... ARE YOU SERIOUS????

More states should have the BALLS that AZ did.... If your ILLEGAL, you don't belong here. If you want to stay then go through the process like everyone else does that wants to become a US Citizen.... And if you feel your being discriminated against, rat out the ones who are...
