Hanson, I agree they should put more of the recent material. But.....

It's probably a difficult process on what set list they choose... When you go to a show whether it's your first show or 100th you want to hear the classic's. So there's probably only a few songs they can drop and plug in new ones.

Try calling your local radio stations and request some of the new stuff... Good luck.... I've called and met people from the local radio stations at some of the Skynyrd shows and I've asked them "Why don't you play the newer stuff"?? There answer is "When people request Skynyrd, they want to hear the classic's". My response was, "If you don't play the new material, they'll never know it's out there"...

Regardless, I'll be there.... Old stuff... New stuff.... Whatever... Because remember they'll be a day when you'll wish you could hear them play ONE MORE SONG!!!!!!!

So put on your favorite tune, old, new, whatever and TURN IT WAAAAAYYYYY UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy

I'm not dead, at least not yet, Still Alone, Still Alive, STILL UNBROKEN....

Any idea how long a setlist will be when they play all the songs we real fans like ? ...
Pretty close to a 3 days show I think ...
Like the Prez said a long time ago : " 90 % of the audience don't know who's on stage,
but they need this crowd to do big venues." (also the reason why they add K. Rock and
B. Michaels).
No matter what songs they play, there's always that strong Skynyrd Nation-feeling
(religious is the word for me) that makes them guys the best !

=skynyrdalways said:In the UK we were lucky enough to have them play here twice within a year, and i was fortunate enough to see them on 3 occasions and the set list was nearly the same in 2010 as it was in 2009 with the addition of god n guns and still unbroken.
And if they come back next year and do the same i will be just as excited as the 1st time i saw them.
Keep doing what ya do best and till the next time , god bless ya'll

well said!!

The way this ol' Ean and Leon pee-on sees it, even a 4 hour show would be nice with 3 changes of sweaty shirts and coats, and the band just banging out a lot of those Skynyrd gems ... But the reality is, they all paid their dues already and I think it would be safe to say, it's not gonna happen frynds. At this point, I'd take whatever live LS music comes our way. Eventually the bus is gonna arrive home and park permanently. But it's been one helluva ride for all us fans.

Or what about a lil' Van Zant Tour in Europe ?...
Small venues, long setlists ... Mmmm...
But Bass Daddy is right : Whatever they decide, I'm thankful for it all.
