I just have to say that the new album is something a bit special, listened to it about 10 times now and there is a great mix of new Skynyrd and old Skynyrd, a truly great album. One thing guys, play some of it live, yes the old songs are great but do you know what? the new songs are great too! One of the big disappointments of God and Guns is that apart from Skynyrd nation we never got to hear those great songs live. |

Thanks for the words on the new album. Even one of the ladies at work asked me, "Hey, I heard on the radio that Skynyrd has a new album out!" I told her that I was impressed that she knew that bit of info. I haven't bought it yet but I plan to. Does this version have the interview with Johnny and never seen before pictures over the years? I saw something about the interview advertised on this website but it was being advertised in Great Britain? If anyone wants to here sound bites of each song, go to Amazon.com.

Or if they don't own the album, just go to the homepage here and you'll see a link from iHeartRadio that plays the whole album. I own the "Special Edition" (any thing Skynyrd does, I'm gonna get the highest package) and it really is amazing. I love "Homegrown", but my biggest favorite on the album is "Low Down Dirty." The whole album rules though... I regards to your question, no, there is no interview on the album. However if you got the fan pack package from the UK as I did...and still am waiting to receive it, they do have a 132 page booklet that has the band members talk about the new album (and every song is detailed), lyrics, and they talk about the tragic plane crash of '77. It also comes with the special edition cd (UK version) and a double sided poster and a pin (or something like that). I highly recommend it! They say a diamond only whispers to us when we are alone...It's just forever's little trick

Just got our Fanpack today, to say it is truly a TREASURE is putting it Mildly. The booklet alone with Bucko priceless pictures is worth its weight in Gold and the MULTI page Booklet is actually Magazine size with a semi hard cover. The CD has traces of both the Old and the New Skynyrd on it but one thing I love is the Music IMMEDIATELY it grabs you. My wife was one of the Fortunate ones who ardered the fanpack b-4 the July 25th deadline so her name is on the Ronnie Van Zant poster included. If you didn't arder the Fanpack try and go to the Website and arder it because as I said B-4 it is worth 10 times more to any Skynyrdholic Fan. As far as what I can tell you in ALL DUE RESPECT Knebworth76 that is the age old question is why don't they play the newer songs and very simple, they play 2 or 3 songs off the new album they are currently promoting until the sales dwindle down or the tour is over but then its back to mostly the Hits that made the Original Skynyrd Famous. They are the songs that the nucleus of Lynyrd Skynyrd put their HEARTS into, working everyday at Hellhouse to per-fect the music we all know and love. If you was at the Knebworth Fair with Skynyrd back in 76 you WITNESSED a GREAT MOMENT in Music History, the Southern Confederate Army of Lynyrd Skynyrd totaling 9 people including 3 Women captured a CROWD of 5 hundred thousand English Folk with their music alone and GLAD to say, not a one shot was fired. Thanks everybody for joining in on the New Album Topic, that to me is what should be discussed and not a First Time poster trying to sell a Fake Skynyrd Jacket from his so called ebay store |
