Well, I just couldn't be the BIGGEST Lynyrd Skynyrd Fan and NOT become a paid member of their fan club. Now I joined and became a REAL MEMBER of the club. I cannot wait for my t-shirt. Maybe now, after almost 40 years of being Skynyrd's BIGGEST FAN EVER TO BE ALIVE OR DEAD, just maybe I'll get to see Gary play his awesome slide work. Too bad Ed King is not in the band anymore. Too bad about the shit load of crap that happened to the guys and gals of Lynyrd Skynyrd. It was so sad. I got into a bad car accident on October 0f 1977 and prit near killed. Street Survivors just came out and I had the flame covered album, along with EVERY OTHER ALBUM by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I still have eight tracks of four of their albums. When I was hit by a speeding car in October of 1977 and I was informed of the fukin' plane crash, I felt like dying. I was only 17 and my whole world felt like it fell on my head. The hospital let me have my record stereo in my hospital room. I was in traction with two broken legs, pelvis, back and...obviously my head was cracked open too, but my LYNYRD SKYNYRD SHRINE the nurses let me get set up in my room was like my church. Bottom line, FINALLY, NOW I WILL GET TO SEE LYNYRD SKYNYRD...some damn place. Even if I gotta sneak into the states to see them, I FUKIN' WILL. Take Care eh. Lynyrd Skynyrd rialacha fucking Rock agus Roll. Nil amhras faoi.
Johnny Sure wish you the Best Man I just Love your Band of merry Fellows and a few gals, So I pray is that your Throat! is healed so someday we can hear you Rock the Skynyrd Nation.
God Bless you and all your Brothers as well

In 1987 I was on my way to North Carolina in a Grey hound bus. We made a stop in this particular part sof Louisiana and we had to stop for a bout 2 hours. I walked to a park near the bus station where I decided to wait before I left in a couple of hours for NC. This particular band was introduced to play and in fact people where cheering on for them to start playing. I was pretty far away, I say about 25 feet back and I could not see them playing. People kept asking for them to play Free Bird and after a while they did and that is when it really got wild, It had to be lynyrd skynyrd. The guitar and all had to'd been them but I got too happy and never went to see if it was them. I was too darn happy just freeken listening to them play. I no longer drink but I do have the good memories of that night.Little Joe..........
Johnny Van Zant -Awesome! Barney's Great Adventure! My daughter, now 5, loved that movie....you don't know how many times I have viewed this movie. And my two older children who will not admit it, but watched all the original Barney stuff back in the early 90's.
Can't wait to see you ALL Labor Day at the ATL Speedway. My 16 year old daughter is most excited since her Marching Band played your older songs this past season winning their competition. It was an amazing tribute to you all. These h.s. students played your music fantastic:) Rock on!

I brought two friends that had never seen Skynyrd live before. They were blown away to say the least. I am happy to say I've been watchin' and listenin' to Skynyrd since 1974. I saw them play the first time in Detroit in 1976 with their hot new player 'Steve Gaines'. It's 34 years later and I love them all even more today. Can't wait for them to return to Calif in 2011. Rock on Boys.... Rock on!
