I HATE green day!!!!!!!!!

I mean come on, what kind of jerk is that guy? Billie Joe Armstrong was inspired to write the song after hearing the Lynyrd Skynyrd song "That's How I Like It" on his car radio. Said Armstrong, "It was like, I'm proud to be a redneck and I was like, oh my God, why would you be proud of something like that? This is exactly what I'm against." so i hate that band, i wish skynyrd would come out with a song on there new album bashing this real American idiot, and as far as i am concerned, if the American flag doesn't make him proud, then he should go live someone else and not make our American money, because that's how i would like it!!!!!! agreed?

Paiken, congrats on joining the board! I know you may have read it that way, but he actually didn't write that song in response to the Skynyrd song "That's How I Like It." Green Day is one of my favorite bands, and I've followed them since their inception (My top 6 bands are (obviously #1 is my ultimate favorite): 1) Lynyrd Skynyrd 2) Seven Mary Three 3) ANTHRAX 4) Pantera 5) KoRn 6) Green Day). I've seen Green Day in concert - saw them on Halloween (when Bush was in office). They came up out of the floor (on some platform thing), and they all wore a president mask they didn't like. Mike Dirnt was Nixon, Tre Cool was Ronald Reagan, and Billie Joe was Bush Jr. He stated specifically then he wrote the song about Bush Jr. and Cheney. Even though I'm a Republican, I took that with a grain of salt. Not everyone is going to be a Republican...not everyone a Democrat. Everyone in this world won't agree on everything. If he did say that, I can see him writing it about both. "Don't want a nation under the new media And can you hear the sound of hysteria?" (Referencing how the media always tries to make people get more fear in things) "Well maybe I'm the ******** America. I'm not a part of a redneck agenda. Now everybody do the propaganda. And sing along to the age of paranoia." (I can see part of this referencing the song) "Welcome to a new kind of tension. All across the alien nation. Where everything isn't meant to be okay. Television dreams of tomorrow. We're not the ones who're meant to follow. For that's enough to argue." (Referencing the fact that everyone walks around now worried about everyone they look at - and come to quick conclusions). Either way man... If that's not enough to turn your stomach, he LOVES Obama. I sure hope they broke the mold when they made this fruitcake. There's only one true Billy Joe, he's got three lovely ladies that just won't wait! *I'm Back You Bastards!*
