Holy crap... If you like Freebird, check this out...

I stumbled across this the other day... Not as good as freebird (could anything be?) but pretty awesome nonetheless. It starts off slow, like Crosby stills and Nash, then launches into a free bird jam that would make Billy Powell proud.

That song is good but I think this song is more similar to Freebird. This guy used to be in a Skynyrd tribute band called The One Percent Band. He played Freebird as close to Allen as anyone I have ever seen. Here is his song called Lady Liberty.

Here is his version of Freebird. Obviously this is NOT Ronnie Van Zant's One Percent. But they do a good Skynyrd tribute. The guy playing Allens parts plays them a lot better than Ricky Medlocke does. Free Bird Part 1 Free Bird Part 2
