Folks, I was surfing around on YouTube for rare and cool Skynyrd videos and stumbled upon a band that I had never heard of. Long story short, I purchased all 6 CD's last night, immediately. I think a lot of people forget about southern rocks other 1st cousin, rock-a-billy (the other being country and/or bluegrass). Rebel Son kicks some serious ass. Now that would be one hell of an awesome show!

@LynSkyn1981: I like the Alabama Thunder Pussy track I found on YouTube. Never heard of them before, thanks for that. It does resemble Zack Wyld's sound a bit. COC and Down are right there too.

I think you'll like Rebel Son. Very irreverent, very talented. Not necessarily for people who are uptight and fragile.

That would be cool. Rebel Son is a good southern rock band. But they're not steal the show kind of a band, so yeah that would really work

@skynyrdnation7: Many thanks, glad others' know the band. But I must admit...I just got their 6 cd catalog in the mail last night. And each song is filled to the hilt with "F**k you's" and "F**cking something's." Now while I absolutely find it to be hilarious, I can understand why LS might find them to be a bit abrasive to a wider audience. That said, I can understand how David Allen Coe thought they would be a great opening act for him, and then contracted them. Still though, I'd love seeing them open up for Skynyrd and watching the faint of heart squirm in their seats lol.
