When passing through Jacksonville, be sure to stop by the original Bono's Barbecue on Atlantic Boulevard. It's kick ass!

@midnightrider: You know, I heard the Freebird Cafe was moved not to long ago. As a kid back in the late 70's-mid 80's I recall seeing a bar along Atlantic Beach just a few steps down from the Sea Turtle Inn (now all fancy schmancy). The bar had a big ole sign that said, "Home of Lynyrd Skynyrd." Was that the Freebird Cafe back in the day? What's it like these days. I ran out of time last summer during my visit and didn't have time to go hunt it down.

I did, however, make it to the RVZ Memorial Park, SWEEEEEET!

And for Bono's...oh healllll yeah! Specially the original one on Atlantic Blvd.

Hey, by chance, do you remember Wacky Golf? I know it closed down some time ago, but it was a pretty significant miniature golf attraction. My dad used to take me there all the time as a kid when we were visiting my grandmother. Damn I love Jacksonville. Luckily for me, it's frozen in time, 70's-1985.
