=Dan Hafstrom said:I've been a Skynyrd fan all my life. I've respected the post-crash band as a celebration of what once was and a nice line of work for the boys involved, but the new record is just stupid. God and Guns? If you wanna write songs like that, please do, but don't call yourself Lynyrd Skynyrd. Ronnie sure was proud of his origins but he was not a stupid redneck. Remember a song called "Saturday Night Special"? Well if u don't here's the lyrics for it. And your point? One song is anti hand gun the other is about not losing rights granted us in the constitution. Johnie likes to fish and hunt. . .. .last I checked you don't hunt with a 38. . . . .ya ever see the pic of ronnie holding a gun to someones's head? They all carried back in the day. . . even Ed had a gun. . . . |

I got my copy today and I am SO PROUD to call myself a member of Skynyrd Nation!! The lyrics are amazing and I can only imagine the healing journey that the band was on while writing some of these songs. My personal goal is to wear this CD out until I know all of the words (I have a bet with my 9 year old daughter about who will know all of the lyrics 1st!)
Ain't nothing sweeter than a Southern girl! |

Saw Gary & Co in May. I´m awaiting the new album and curious if I can still hear my favorite band. |
