Greetings all! I am brand new - first post. I am 51 years old, live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I saw the band twice before the plane crash, once since. Am listening to the new Cd as I write this. I found out about the new cd from reading a classic rock blog in which Mick Box (guitarist for Uriah Heep) was talking about how good the cd is. I have to admit that I haven't bought any of the band's music since the 70's until now. I will go back and buy the back catalogue of their stuff now that I know more about their music and them since those days. I also have to admit that I'm more drawn to their music now because of their political stance and how they feel about this country. I found on youtube their appearances on Hannity and the fact that they are headlining the 'Freedom Tour' which I will catch here in Cincy. As a retired veteran having served in two different branches of the military, I am very glad to see there is someone else in the business (besides Nugent) who stands up and stands for America! The new cd sounds great! . . . Cheers! |

@Trilok: I want to agree with medwaysimpleman about "thanking you" for your service to our country! My Dad has always set the greatest example for me about taking the time to say "thank you" to ANYONE he sees in uniform. He will do this at a store, at a resturaunt, anywhere.

And thank you all for caring. Your words mean a lot to me. It was my pleasure and privilige to serve. I'm sure there are many on this board who served and I thank them all as well. Even if you didn't serve, I think everyone on this board is a good tax paying citizen and in doing so you are serving the country as well, so my thanks to all of you.

I just bought the CD yesterday and can't quit playing it either. It's AWESOME! Great songs that have so much meaning and a few that really touched me deeply, like "Storm"! "The sun is gonna shine and the rain won't fall, the storm is gonna pass." Wow - brought tears to my eyes, gave me some hope through these rough times. It's just a storm that will eventually pass". Absolutely love "Gifted Hands" too. They are all great songs!! Thank you Lynyrd Skynyrd!!! You are and have always been the BOMB!!! We love you and God bless you all! |
