We are traveling from Staffordshire to Glasgow & then going to Manchester for the Skynyrd gigs,
does anybody know of any good Bars/Pubs we can go in?

There is a pub just down from the Apollo in Manchester, before their last concert it was full and prices ok

We will be in there on 02/06/12, me, hubby and 18 year old son, this will be his first Skynyrd concert, so may see you there. x

Your son will love it, we will be in the pub down the road from about 5 O`Clock

he has been a fan for years, not sure what time we will get there, should be between 5.30 and 6. have you seen to the Apollo before, me and hubby went in 2010, its great as its smallish

You will never be short of a good watering hole in Glasgow.
Either in town - close to central station The Horseshoe Bar or Auctioneers - good food and drink.
If you want to try West End Byres road - Tennents Bar (good ale house) or Park Bar.

The pub 'down the road' from The Apollo has closed down.....only one left is behind the Apollo, and it's tiny, rammed and a shitehole........best bet is to drink in the city centre, then jump into a Black Cab to the theatre.....bout 6/8 quid.

We will be in Knott Bar, at Castlefield end of Deansgate from 5.30. Good place, and food if required....(real beers too)

The Solid Rock in Glasgow is next to Central Station (train) and is where many rockers tend to head before gigs at SECC/Clyde Auditorium. However the gig has a bar on each level,but they tend to be rather busy and pricey.
