For the first time in 9 years, Skynyrd will not be playing at Meadowbrook in Gilford, NH. I emailed Meadowbrook and that was the response I received. I can’t believe it! Skynyrd is always a huge draw there. At the Skynyrd show last year, despite pouring rain, wind and tornado warnings the place was packed!

This is a heads up for fellow NH Skynyrd Nation Members. Maybe Meadowbrook should book JoeZ’s Band Southern Breeze.

I just bought tickets to the Mansfield, MA show. I’ve never been to that venue, but come hell or high water, I’m going to attend a Skynyrd show!

Is it ok for a grown frynd to cry? ;-(

I'm from MA and love going to see all my Frynds in NH. So I'm bummed that The Nation will not make a stop in NH.

Meadowbrook is a great place to see a show. And Comcast is no Meadowbrook. My suggestion NH1, after the show tailgate. It's a nightmare trying to get out, and even it you buy the "special" parking pass. We bought it one year and it made no difference.

So bring the grill and after the show, turn it up and turn up your favorite Skynyrd tunes and enjoy.

ayyy no meadway i gotta dissagree w/ya on one thing, and only one cause the rest i totally agree lol. the parking pass has made a difference every time i went, i've gotten outa there in under 10 minutes everytime w/it, i'll never go to comcast w/out buying it.

And comcast is no Meadowbrook, Meadowbrook freakin rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!! i've got 2 shows i'm going to up there so far this year, Zac Brown in July and Sugarland in Sept.

and ya never know Skynyrd may play up there, i remember one year emailing them and them saying the same thing too me, only for a couple weeks later seeing that they were playing........ so ya never know.....

Got that right Eric... On Meadowbrook.... There's always a "chance" they could swing up to our Frynds in NH for a show. So don't count them out.... Yet....

I must have got some clown for the parking pass section. Because when he parked us it seemed to be with the "regular" parking. What ever, I might try it again for the 7/1 show.

Medway and Simpleman72, what exactly do you guys mean by the Comcast Center is no Meadowbrook? Is it just the parking issue or is the sound not as good? Also, are cameras allowed?

I remember in 2006, Meadowbrook didn't post that Skynyrd was playing there until early May.

too me, and i think meadway will agree..... Meadowbrook just seems like all around a better venue. It's smaller, too me the sound is better there, and it seems less "corprate"........ if that makes sense..... it seems more down to earth, a place that Skynyrd belongs playing...... people are fryndlier, all around i just like it up there 10 times better.

meadway i been around, i still read the board all the time, just haven't had as much time to post, working, getting ready for the races in CT this weekend......... gonna be flyin the flag and TURNIN IT UP!!!!!!!

Talked to quite a few people lately about the 2010 Meadowbrook schedule and the major consensus is that it's the weakest lineup offered in years. (not just becuz Skynyrd isn't playin this year either) Apparently I'm not the only one that won't be heading over there this year.

@JoeZbassman: and just ta think, the last time i saw Skynyrd was back in '07, had to drive to wendover nv. not far fer us tho, about an hour........ thats when i got my banner signed by the boys and dale............. i don't blame Skynyrd fer not comin' to this planet utah............ there aint a radio station that has ever.......... and i'll say it agin............. never plays any of the new Skynyrd tunes......... they all be stuck "back in the days" of '73 to '77. and on 1 10/20 a goofball dj made reference that it was the anniversary of the plane crash, but ta show ya the idiot he was, he said "Carrie" Gaines was killed in tha crash.... well ya knows me......... when i got to the office.. i called the fool up, caint believe he answered, proceeded to dispute with me, so i pulled rank, and says ta him, i believe i have some pretty honorable resources, he was tryin' ta tell me his were better........... then i said.......... hows Gary Rossington sound to ya pilgrim?....... and 'splain'd to him, being in his position, he really should be a bit more accurate before he opens his mug! it's Cassie Gaines........... then i got............"click"............. lmao!

@ mc I sure as hell hope I don't have to wait that long, but we are all at the mercy of whatever comes or doesn't come our way. And ain't that the God's honest truth!
