Fans talking about bailing out on the band and could possibly snowball if not addressed by the band so if anyone knows how to contact their management it might be a good idea. I've been tryin to defend them in the post but fallin on deaf ears.
Check it out...maybe its all about nothing but I hate to see them get a bad wrap over a misunderstanding about what was said.

Thats what is so messed up about this country right, its full of a bunch of cry babies.

I care simply for the bands, and JVZ's reputation and that's why I joined and posted here today. No one is crying but I hate to see a band like Skynyrd drug through the mud and lose part of their fan base over a comment that could have been taken out of context. We all know how the media can drop a word here and there to change the meaning of what's said. We all know where they stand but the comment has really turned off a lot of folks.

Just trying to help here, not create a shit storm.

@snowbird: I'm with you. JVZ has gone to far on the deportation thing. As a personal friend of the band for over 25 years and toured with them around the world and supported them through the years. The last one was the Confederate flag issue. I do NOT support this administration's views or tactics. They're on the path of destroying this great country. If the rest of the band feel the same way as Johnny then, I have to say that I strongly disagree with them and I defend and support the people that are trying to keep this nation's values and rights alive!! Has JVZ sold out to $$$ and the BOZOS in D.C.? It hurts me very deep in my heart to say these words about my friends but, my country and freedom come first. Johnny please, as a close friend of yours please explain your comments before it's too late and you and the rest of the band lose a hell of a lot of fans and friends. I'll get in touch with their management.

@Whiskeyman35: Thank You Whiskeyman35. I have emailed roadrunner records and called Johnny himself and left a message to call me. Waiting to hear an explanation from both of them.

@Whiskeyman35: I just got off the phone with Johnny. The statement was taken out of context. He said that we're stuck with him for the next four years and we need to support the office of the president and try to make the best of it. He still has a Romney poster in his front yard. He said that a lot of people don't agree with the president (me for one) but we as a nation need to get together and make this land a better place. Johnny and I are still good friends.

@TOOLBOX: Thanks for the clarification. I assumed as much and actually posted that on Foxnation but all my defenses fell on deaf ears. I hated to see JVZ and the band talked so badly about after all the work they have done for our troops and others.

The story is probably not being looked at much at this time but do you mind if I post your comment above on the Foxnation to hopefully put a rest to this mess?

Also, I'm glad it didn't ruin a longtime friendship as those are hard to come by this day and age. Just goes to show how a little misinformation can make things bad in a big way. Take care and once again thank you.
