*crickets chirping*
Skynyrd Nation as embodied on this forum doesn't seem too active.

Sure, there are some of us still flying the flag (however metaphorically or not :P), but I hate to see the relatively slow level of activity around here.
Wish these guys were more popular of course.

Thanks for the tip, Paul - Skynyrd is one of the most underrated classic rock bands. We in Skynyrd Nation know better.

What rock lost in 10/77 was no less than what it lost in 2/59.

Hey "King" WTF??????

More popular???? What kind of statement is that???

There have been problems posting due to the "gerbil", so it frustrating when you think you posted something and it's not there..

People post when they can. So if it's slow just relax put on another Skynyrd song and chill....

I'm not dead, at least not yet, Still Alone, Still Alive, STILL UNBROKEN....

Ain't saying anything against those of y'all who are here, just wish that there were more.

And yeah, the server issues and forum software setup probably don't *help*

HEY Alani...
I know what you mean...and it is sad....theres not more input/output from this site and the Nation as a whole to this site....definately not the members whom participate....if the BAND would promote this site at it's shows maybe more would come and partake.....and if they would come here say Bi-weekly...and give updates from the Road or something vs Nation members giving reports..which is great but it definately would make more of the non-participating members appear hear if they knew SKYNYRD Band members were here occasionally......thanks for your concern it's duly noted by the HMFICSECN.......

Just a little suggestion here, but if the members and crew of the band contributed on the site, ( they must read it, because it has been mentioned as inspiration for at least one of the songs on God & Guns ),the more fans would be likely to read it. I know I would be interested in reading stories from the backroom crew & roadies, as well as the band themselves, at the moment all the messages seem to come from the fans, there is nothing wrong with that, but a little input from the band themselves would be brilliant.

@ King: Can understand your viewpoint. It would be nice if some of the guys came on here. Anyway, I am "new" guy to the boards and who knows, maybe the numbers will continue to grow. At any rate, I reckon the usual suspects will continue to post insightful and funny topics/comments.....turn'er on

Yeah, involvement from the band and crew themselves might a great way to alleviate that problem.
I know that developing the fan-community around a musician really helps as a reinforcement to the music itself in building the overall experience.
