Concert Dates for 2010 -
March 10, 2010 1:01:08 PM UTC Post #1

Just FYI for those of us who are looking to attend Skynyrd concerts this year:

I just noticed on Pollstar's website that they have a few concert dates listed that the official Skynyrd website hasn't posted yet. For example, Pollstar shows that the band will be doing a show on August 26th in Los Angeles at the Gibson Amphitheatre (the night before the Hannity Freedom concert in Las Vegas).

I've noticed as of last night that Pollstar.com has just added a date to the Freedom Concerts for Salt Lake City. Pollstar has Skynyrd playing in SLC on August 27th, with the 28th being the Vegas show and the 29th being the San Diego concert. This is strange because the Skynyrd website doesn't mention Salt Lake City. Maybe the Freedom promoters are about to announce a change in the schedule with Salt Lake City coming on board.

Just an FYI

Pollstar has a bad habit of posting things when the ink is still not even dry on the contracts. They have been contacted many times over the years by management but ignore them about this problem. Sometimes the deal falls through, sometimes it is solid but the promoter or venue does not want the date announced until some time in the future but Pollstar does not seem to care and does what it wants. All I can say is that we post the shows on the official site when they are confirmed and when it has been cleared by the venue. I get in lists from the management and from the booking agents with shows that are tentative or they might be confirmed. However until those shows reach their DO NOT POST UNTIL date it will not show up on this site. For those who might plan on attending certain shows where you might need to book flights or take time out of work etc. I would just caution you against making concrete plans until you see the show listed on this site. It has happened too many times in the past where people were stuck with useless airline tix etc because a show that was listed on Pollstar did not actually happen.

Thanks
Tom

Thank you Tom. That's sound advice. I'm actually not attending one of the Freedom shows out West. I'll be going to the Atlanta show on August 13th. Pollstar apparently did get the Atmore, Alabama, show correct it appears because the Wind Creek Casino website has now listed the show and it says that tickets will be for sell starting on April 12th, so we shall see.

@LynSkyn1981:

Love the new pic, but where is Ed King in that picture? Owen Hale? Our friends from the Last Rebel cd?

I'm Confident they will fill up their summer shedual soon, BUT having said that, please dont be with Kid Rock.. the only upside to them performing with Kid, is that I can leave after Skynyrd , hit no traffic and be home by like 9:30

The date for Wind Creek Casino is June 12. The Wind Creek Casino website has it listed and it says that tickets can be purchased starting on April 12. The good thing about this casino is that it's an Indian casino and as a result, the governor can't touch it.
