Been listening to Skynyrd since i was about 10! Now 20, but haven't seen them live yet. I would love it if they could make it to Scotland. If they go any where in the uk, ill be there! Think I missed them a few years a go!

Skynyrd rarely miss Glasgow out on a European Tour. In recent years the band have favoured playing the Armadillo (Clyde Auditorium),although they have also played next door at the larger SECC (with Deep Purple) and in '97 at The Royal Concert Hall.
They always put on a great show in Scotland, and the Glasgow crowd seems to have a special connection with Lynyrd Skynyrd which i think goes way back to the days of The Glasgow Apollo, where both Skynyrd and Rickey when with Blackfoot shared some special nights. Although Skynyrd has many new/young fans like yourself, there are also many who always attend when Skynyrd are in town who also rocked with the band in the old days, and those days are not forgotten!

Long live Scotland ! Long live Lynyrd Skynyrd ! I have thought long and hard about this ever since I picked up The Indianapolis star in 1977 and read something I really did not want to read. Lynyrd Skynyrd is to special to let it die. I say we move forward (yes even after the deaths of Leon, Billy, and Ean) Bring in member decendants Medlocke, Van Zant, anyone who can play (we have a deep bench, (just take you a look see) any other needed player can be found Hell, this new Bass Player from The Black Crows inspired me to write not many do that. I saw the Springfield MA show in 76 with Johnny And Edgar and the 77 show with Foreigner opening. I have seen many shows since. My wife said to me thirty days before Leons death "he looks frail" YOU MUST CARRY ON FOR THESE MEN WHO MADE SOME OF THE GREATEST MUSIC EVER WRITTEN PERIOD ! IT IS A GIFT, NOT TO DIE ON THE VINE "DEATH BE NOT PROUD"

Awesome! I saw deep purple in the Armadillo, think that was 2010-2011ish then again in the SECC in 2012. Going to See Sabbath on Dec 16th. So just Skynyrd, and I think thats me seen all my all time favorites!

ACDC
Deep Purple
Sabbath(if Ozzy makes it!)
and hopefully
Lynyrd Skynyrd in the near future!
