This site is for ALL fans of this band. Young, old, long time followers or those who are just learning about the band today for the first time. Give them some slack. The biggest complainers are the same ones who are complaining about the many threads all dealing with the same topics but they have no problem writing post after boring post complaining EVERY TIME someone misspells the name. Why do you all feel the need to belittle and attack someone who might be a new fan of the band because they spell the name wrong? This forum is for everyone not just the few who think they are insiders or special because they have all the lyrics to every song memorized. Just because you happen to know a lot about the history of the band etc does not make you better than the next fan. Shoving it into the faces of the less informed fans however makes you look bad not them. SHARE that knowledge in a polite teaching manner and just maybe the newer fans will learn something and gain a better respect and understanding of this amazing band. Most fans come to the site to learn something or become a part of the Skynyrd Nation. Why do you want to chase them away by belittling them?

So please people. Try showing a LITTLE tolerance and stop attacking new posters or those who might have a different opinion than you do about what songs they want on a set list.

As far as the multiple threads...... again SO WHAT? We have a lot of new posters who love the band and the new CD. Not everyone has the time or desire to read through dozens of threads to find the proper one that YOU would like them to post something in. They are merely excited about the CD or maybe they want to post their feelings about how the band has changed their lives. You posting a complaint in every one of those threads berating them for not posting their comments in the thread YOU would prefer does not help anything. Read them or ignore them. Attacking the poster because they did not post where YOU think it should have gone is not productive.

And BTW with this new site and company I am not the only person monitoring these boards. There are about 6 or 7 others and we all will be removing any posts that serve no other purpose other than to attack other fans of the band. So contribute to the discussions all you want and continue to love and support your band but do so with respect for others.

@careca: You are right, I am from Holland, I will certainly make mistakes too, but that doesnot mean you can't say anything here in this forum. After all we are all LS fans and have to respect eachother.

Btw, Austria is a beautiful country, I just love it. We are visiting Voralberg every year for 2 weeks during the summer.
Leaving next thursday again for Lech, and go walking in the mountains...

Hey Tom...I agree with you 100% man! You can find most of these no-life people on dozens of other websites doing the same thing they do here. Try to find fault with anything and everything they can! Usually, that indicates insecurity and lack of a life on their part. I feel sorry for people who only concentrate on the negative and pick things to death to try and make themselves feel more secure. It's really pathetic. Anyway, I have and will continue to support Skynyrd. Met Ronnie and the originals in 1971 or '72, in Muscle Shoals , Al. in the studios. Like every other true fan, I have been saddened by all the tragedies they have endured. For the survivors, it is a tribute to them to still have such a great band and keep on putting out good music and touring!!!! THANK YOU Johnny and band!!!! Muscle Shoals Paul

I agree with YOU 100 percent Paul..We have one of those People here.
so Highly educated,in their own mind,that they are above the rest of us.
I find it a shame that in all of their education, they never learned how to get along with their fellow Man.
Education can do a lot for a Person,however, it can't give them a degree in Class.
Like The Song says-I've seen a lot of People who thought they were cool , but then again,Lord, I've seen a lot of fools.

Insulting New Fans, correcting Spelling errors and picking fights with People who come to say Lynyrd is going to be working on a New Album.I suppose that some People are so unhappy,they have to do their best to see that others aren't happy either.
They just can't come to the Board , and get along,and talk Lynyrd.
To me,it's a shame, and I just don't understand it.
