I saw the boyZ at the Shoreline the other nigh, August 29th. Daaang, still tight as ever son! But after 40 + years, I didn't expect anything less, amen and thank you.
It was my 50th birthday that night and I got blessed. Have never teared up at a Skynyrd concert before; but when ya'll had slides of NYFD, troops & especially the previous band members, (most fondly to me was Allen, he be rockin it with Miss "baby doll Katy girl" now, bless his heart) it made me pause and did provoke thought. Sigh, another thank you.
I also enjoyed (had binoculars) watching Miss Dale and Miss Carol. I found myself clapping along with ya'll, kinda felt like I be back in the church choir or something. LOL PraiZe God and thank you JeeeesuZZ.
Finally and for real, I don't know how one does it, but I really was hoping to meet ya'll for my birthday and get a picture taken. Aside from having met up with the likes of Chet Atkins and Emmylou Harris, that would have been icing on my birthday cake.
So until next time, AND THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME IN JESUS NAME, I hope to better plan things so I can hook up and do the picture thing.......
Thanks again for a wonderful show. There ain't nuthin like leavin a Skynyrd concert with everyone drunk, Harleys by the dozen zooming around.....ahhh kinda like a family reunion. LOL Look forward to the new album.
