Hey Hubie, I never did get to see The original Skynyrd in concert. I would say next time, never imagining that there wouldn't be a next time. So I don't have any concert input for you. Not until now, have I been able to afford the internet,(sad). And so recently, I've had the fulfilled my desire to see them ,in part, in concert. GOD IS GOOD. There was something so captivating, so soothing about Ronnie Van Zant. Each of them were special guys, but Ronnie, well he was and had a special gift an personality. This, I thought , you might, if your still collecting info for your friend, might find this interesting. I once read that Ronnie, liked to perform barefoot because he loved to feel the stage burn beneath his feet. I soooo, regret not seeing them in person. I am, however, thrilled to watch them all perform now, even if it is video. The first thing I looked for was his feet, I laughed aloud, because he was, in fact, barefoot. This old grey mare isn't what she use to be but if I think of anything I can add, that's not already widlely known, have faith more will come........tinkerbell |

@SKYNFAN: all you have to do is look at the inside sleeve of the original Street Survivors LP.

Can't add much info but I'm reading Ron Eckerman's book Turn It Up and there might be some info in that that helps you. It's a great read anyways about those times. |
